My Nek, My Dak scores 138.02 without a single Dak

The league's highest score comes from a team named after a quarterback it doesn't have. Rostering him would have made it worse.

By the SmackWire Editorial Board · 300 BPS · Week 1

My Nek, My Dak scored 138.02, the most in the league. It did this without Dak Prescott, who is on Jules Touchdown Service's bench, where he scored 14.4 for no one. My Nek, My Dak's actual quarterback, Jalen Hurts, scored 24.72. Starting the Dak in the name would have cost 10.32 points. Loyalty is expensive.

Before anyone crowns them: the highest score in the league started a Chargers defense that scored 0.0, and left Kyle Monangai's 20.4 on the bench behind James Cook III's 9.9. Set correctly, this lineup scores 151.92. The best team in Week 1 still found 13.9 points to throw away. It just had more points to throw.

$$$ Mike D's Money Team $$$ answered with 117.46, the sixth-highest score of the week, and a quarterback room that would make a real front office file a grievance. Lamar Jackson started and scored 24.96. Patrick Mahomes (21.66), Jayden Daniels (17.66) and Malik Willis (16.70) sat on the bench. Four quarterbacks. One quarterback spot. 56.02 points of backup quarterbacks, watching.

Justin Jefferson scored 31.20 and J.K. Dobbins scored 3.6. Even the perfect version of this roster scores 124.06 and loses by 13.96. The money, it turns out, was all spent at the one position you're only allowed to start one of.
