The Denver special: two Broncos, 3.2 points

Wieners Out LLC went into Week 1 with a theme. Jaylen Waddle, now a Denver Bronco, at receiver. The Denver Broncos at defense. A tribute lineup, apparently, and like most tributes it worked better in theory.

Waddle scored 1.2. The Broncos defense scored 2.0. That is 3.2 points from two lineup spots in a game lost by 3.46. The Denver section of this lineup nearly scored the entire margin of defeat, which is not how margins are supposed to work.

Waddle's 1.2 also lost a head-to-head with Wieners Out LLC's own kicker, Cameron Dicker, who scored 2.0 and was not good either. Meanwhile Jakobi Meyers, a receiver on this very roster, scored 12.2 on the bench. That is 11.0 more than the receiver who started, and 7.54 more than the game needed.

Zay Flowers did his part with 26.0 and Chase Brown added 18.8. They will not be receiving the win they earned, but they are receiving this sentence of acknowledgment. Enjoy it, fellas.
