Kendall’s Tears, Jesse’s Fears collects running backs and starts the wrong ones

Kendall’s Tears, Jesse’s Fears rostered six running backs. That is not a depth chart. That is a collection.

The two who started, D'Andre Swift (32.4) and Kyren Williams (15.5), scored 47.9. The four who sat, David Montgomery (28.9), Chuba Hubbard (23.7), Rhamondre Stevenson (14.5) and Tony Pollard (4.4), scored 71.5. The bench running backs beat the starting running backs by 23.6, which is a real accomplishment if the goal was winning the bench.

Kyren Williams, specifically, was outscored by two running backs on his own bench. Set correctly, this roster scores 156.06, which would have been the highest score in the league by 18.04. Instead it scored 120.86, fifth-best, and won by 14.0.

It won by 14.0 against Jules Touchdown Service, which set the only perfect lineup in the league and lost anyway, because a perfect lineup of Jules Touchdown Service players is still Jules Touchdown Service players. Five of its seven bench players scored exactly 0.0.

So yes, Kendall’s Tears, Jesse’s Fears is 1–0. It is also a team whose own bench would have beaten it at running back.
